Bio:
Mr Dude, born and breed in Belfast trained in top British wrestling school, Hammerlock worked for no more than enough money to get him to the next town, before LBWF talent spotter signed him up to a deal, after getting pinned by a smackhead in his first it was to be the start of a long and hard to “break the glass ceiling” The owners/bookers of the fed didn’t like pushing people quickly you had to earn your dues, and earn his dues Mr Dude did. He was of course accompanied by his valet/manager at the time Dawn (who is more of a household name these days than Mr Dude is). Desperate times call for desperate measures and he even formed his own heel stable to try and get some notice, with that not working he returned to his babyface ways and form a tag team Joe Cool, named “The Cool Dudes” (we should note here, it was the bookers ideas, not his, including the name!)
Anyway lame team names aside, they quickly rose to the top of a depleted LBWF tag team division and won the titles. Things finally got interesting when Jazz and Rialto kidnapped Dawn and lead to a feud, the feud keep going and lead to the stable feud of Power To The People (Rooser, Mr.Dude, Hardcore Auzzie Jack, Joe Cool & Hawk) against the CCC (Keep It Real Kid, Jeffy Andrews, Big D, Material Boy Jazz & Rialto) while this was another excuse for the owners to keep themselves in the headlines it sparked a feud that would run and run, and even to this day hasn’t seen a real ending.
Mr.Dude vs. Jeffy Andrews
Ladder matches, table matches, title matches, career matches, they did it all.
Anyway LBWF closed down, and the talent got shipped off to IWA, in the Good Ol’ U S of A. Mr Dude formed “The Untouchables” stable to keep the powers that be in check. Kai Scott and Mr Dude captured the IWA Tag Titles. However soon after Dawn dumped Mr Dude rather publicity and sided with Kai Scott. Flicking between face and heel at this stage, he also discovered the lady who beat him in the final of FNL was actually his half sister. Perhaps the only person in the game that has never backstabbed or betrayed him, none other than Gemma Lockheart.
Mr. Dude got hammered by Kai Scott in a supposed revenge match, and was too burnt out from taking on Kai and having the long running feud with Dawn he then left IWA and joined CSWA, turning heel and rebranding himself as Taranis, capturing the TV Title and at the time becoming the longest reigning TV title, feuding with another household name Python in the process. However relations quickly turned sour after being screwed over twice as he tried to work this way up the card, having beaten two upper carders only for the powers that be to throw a spanner in the works and keep him down the card, he rejoined IWA on a verbal contract. He left CSWA without actually loosing the TV Title.
He rejoined IWA and teamed with Gemma briefly, but was still burnt out from wrestling and took leave, for five years. He has been working UK indies were he was a major deal, hes slightly out of shape and hasn't been training regular. He had a problem with alcohol abuse just after he left IWA, but quickly overcame it. He has now returned and regained the fire that first started his career over ten years ago. |
